New deputy head of St Andrew’s appointed

St Andrew’s School for girls has appointed Bronwyn Abrahams as the new foundation phase deputy head, she joined the school in 2020.

Bronwyn Abrahams has been appointed the new foundation phase deputy head at St Andrew’s School for Girls.

She joined the School in 2020 and holds a Bachelor of Social Science with a double major in psychology from the University of KwaZulu Natal and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of South Africa.

As the current head of Grade Two and a Grade Two class teacher, Abrahams is well known to the school community.

“She has extensive experience in teaching and leadership.

“Alongside her involvement in St Andrew’s, Mrs Abrahams has worked in both international and government schools allowing for broader thinking and a sound understanding of the needs of the foundation phase learners, parents and staff,” said the head of junior school, Bev van Niekerk.

“We congratulate Mrs Abrahams, and we wish her all the very best in her new role.

“I look forward to working with her and mentoring her as she leads the foundation phase department.”
