This year Josephine was joined by her friend Yu Jiang Jiang from China, who also celebrated her birthday on September 9 and helped make the project a success.

“Mothers from Edenvale Hospital and Alex Community Clinic were all happy to receive their hampers as we celebrated with their newborns,” said Josephine.

She said family and friends supported the initiative to make it possible.

She said the hampers included disposable nappies, wet wipes, baby clothes, toys, a bible and much more.

“The Bibles are very important to us as we encouraged the mothers to raise the babies with the guidance of the word of God,” said Josephine.
