Support Better Bedfordview’s fundraiser for a cleaner neighbourhood

The golf day will take place at Glendower Golf Club, one of the country’s premier courses.

The annual Better Bedfordview golf day will take place on October 11.

All residents and businesses are urged to support the fundraiser for the NPO that is cleaning up, restoring and maintaining Bedfordview.

Various sponsorship options are available, and everyone can contribute by entering four balls, sponsoring holes or donating prizes, said Better Bedfordview chairperson Marina Constas.

“Your participation directly supports Better Bedfordview’s mission to keep our neighbourhood clean, safe and beautiful,” she stated.

The golf day will take place at Glendower Golf Club, one of the country’s premier courses.

There are fantastic prizes for the top 10 teams, including a two-night stay for two people at Fancourt, with golf at the Montagu and Outeniqua courses, for the winning betterball team.

The lead sponsor of this year’s golf day is BMW Bedfordview, a valued partner of Better Bedfordview.

“We are thrilled to support the Better Bedfordview golf day for the second year,” said BMW Bedfordview dealer principal Guy Kilfoil.

“Our business is deeply rooted in the Bedfordview community, and we believe in giving back to the place we call home.

“Supporting Better Bedfordview aligns with our values and commitment to a clean, safe, better Bedfordview and ultimately, a better South Africa.

“We are proud to be part of this important initiative that is improving our neighbourhood and creating jobs.”

Kilfoil challenged other local businesses – especially car dealerships – to support this fundraiser.

“BMW wants to be part of the solution,” he stated.

“We’d love to challenge every like-minded business in Bedfordview to do what they can to support the golf day and lend their support to this wonderful organisation that is improving our suburb.”

Constas echoed Kilfoil sentiments, “This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to showcase their brand’s commitment to the community while enjoying a day of fun, friendly competition and networking.”

Residents and businesses can find out more and enter the golf day by emailing lexi@betterbedfordview.org.za
“This event is not just about golf; it’s about coming together as a community to support a cause that affects us all.

Better Bedfordview’s vision is to improve our neighbourhoods and ultimately South Africa, one suburb at a time.

“While improving, uplifting and maintaining the area, Better Bedfordview is creating employment for youth and previously unemployed South Africans,” said Constas.

The NPO currently has 21 people working in Better Bedfordview’s team, some of whom are employed through the Yes4Youth programme.

“We are grateful for the continued support from residents and caring businesses like BMW Bedfordview, and we look forward to another successful Better Bedfordview Golf Day.”
