Edenglen High learners showcase excellence beyond classrooms

Edenglen High School’s corridors were filled with a vibrant display of colours as learners proudly showcased their achievements beyond the classroom.

“The school’s talented learners, who have represented the district, province and even the nation in various sporting disciplines, wore their hard-earned colours with pride,” said the school’s public relations and marketing co-ordinator, Itumeleng Gwangwa.

Among the notable athletes were hockey stars Thando Dira, Dexter Matsangaise and Carson Mujajati, who have distinguished themselves on the field.

Soccer sensation Sean Masimbi also proudly flaunted his colours, a testament to his skills and dedication.

The school’s artistic talents were also on display. Cassandra Mtimba, a talented drum majorette, represented the school with grace and precision. Gymnastics prodigy Zoe Cloud’s colours were a symbol of her flexibility, strength, and dedication to her sport.

Gwangwa said the teaching staff joined in the celebration.

“Kate van Jaarsveld, a dedicated athletics coach, wore her colours with pride, inspiring her students to reach for new heights,” said Itumeleng.

She said the display of colours was a powerful reminder of the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who excel not only academically but also in various extracurricular activities.

“It is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of the learners and the support they receive from their teachers and families.”
