Support SA Guide Dogs as you go the distance

“Every pedal stroke and donation will help transform lives and fulfil aspirations.”

The SA Guide Dogs Association for the Blind has announced its participation and invited athletes to join Team Guide Dogs in the Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg 2024. This year, the Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg 2024 will be held on November 17 at the FNB Stadium.

In the spirit of Leap Year, the association invites cyclists to join Team Guide Dogs and make a significant difference in the lives of visually impaired people in South Africa.

Nicole Barros, marketing coordinator for the association, said each day the SA Guide Dogs Association empowers individuals to take leaps of faith.

“Whether it’s our clients placing trust in our guide dogs, embracing newfound independence with a white cane, or our donors investing in our mission. Each action represents a leap towards a brighter, more inclusive future,” said Barros.

By taking part in the Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg alongside Team Guide Dogs, participants will directly contribute to the training of more assistance dogs for the visually impaired, physically disabled, and children on the Autism Spectrum, as well as the purchase of essential assistive devices.

“Every pedal stroke and donation will help transform lives and fulfil aspirations,” said Nicole

“Join the SA Guide Dogs Association for the Blind at the Virgin Active 947 Ride Joburg and leap into action for a cause that changes lives. Together, we can make dreams a reality.”
