Community enjoys market fun day at Edenvale Community Centre

The society relies on the markets to raise funds to continue its good work.

Edenvale Senior Citizens Society hosted a morning market for community members.

Held at the Edenvale Community Centre, the market took place on July 27.

Curry and rice as well as bacon rolls, cupcakes and tea, coffee or cold drinks were available for sale.

Executive committee member Linda Ranwell said the society relies on the markets to raise funds to continue its good work for the seniors of Edenvale and surrounding areas.

“We help their mental wellbeing with board games and cards and keep them fit with seniors’ gym, yoga and table tennis,” said Linda.

The kitchen also makes meals for each day of the week.

These must be booked the previous day but is open for members or non-members or even as a takeaway meal.
