Hands on deck for a clean-up at local centre

Community join forces to keep Bedfordview SAPS clean as they dedicate their 67 minutes to community service.

The Bedfordview SAPS received a much-needed facelift as part of the Mandela Day celebration.

Embracing the spirit of service, members of the Bedfordview SAPS, joined by various stakeholders embarked on a clean-up campaign on July 19 in commemoration of Mandela Day.

Collaborating with Community Safety, Stanley from Absolute Plumbing, Franco built it, Mario (a local businessman) and Elandspark School, they painted the station’s community service centre and cleaned the station.

“Station commander Colonel Wellington Mathiane was delighted to have received wonderful support and for the stakeholders to donate to this initiative,” said the station’s corporate communications officer, Sergeant Lillian Modiga.

The community centre receives a facelift.
