Edenvale SAPS and partners spread Mandela Day warmth

As part of their Mandela Day celebrations Edenvale SAPS and partners provided jobseekers with a morning meal.
On July 18, Edenvale SAPS, NPO You Are Not Alone, and Mamba Security provided job seekers on Hendrik Potgieter Street with bread and soup.
Edenvale Police Station’s communications officer said, “The job seekers were so surprised and welcomed a hot cup of soup.”

He said some of them had been on the street before the sun rose.
“It is only in giving that we shall receive,” said Mashile.
He said during the outreach the compassion and generosity of the human spirit could be seen in all of those who try and make the world a better place.
“SAPS members, civilians and private companies really displayed the spirit of ubuntu across Edenvale,” said Mashile.
