Wellness Day highlights the importance of self-care and awareness among men.
The NPO Keakgona-Kefentse Autism Resource Centre collaborated with Vuyolwethu’s Haven and cancer victor navigators for a Men’s Wellness Day on July 6.
The Ekurhuleni Chambers in Edenvale hosted the event that focused on fathers with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The event had screenings, health talks, mental healthcare, cancer navigation and information on raising children with special needs.
The NPO’s co-founder, Lindiwe Ndlovu, said, “It mainly focused on fathers who have children with ASD and also encouraged men to be aware and involved with their health.
“We did screenings and checked several high blood pressures. They also learnt how to get their diagnoses,” she said.
