The highlight of the evening was the collaboration with Buskaid.

“My band, Desert Mother, performed an entire set with them.

“They learned and performed one of our original songs with us.

“Buskaid was certainly the main attraction as over 100 people filled Bailey’s Bedfordview upstairs to see something completely different,” she added.

The entire crowd sang Mama Mia when the ensemble played the ABBA number.

Angela said the event was more than just about music but rather community spirit as the bands kept the night flowing and the energy high.

She thanked promoters such as Records We Did This and Planet Karavan for sharing about the event.

“I am hoping that the event made more people aware of the role of privilege and accessibility in music education.

“Schools such as Buskaid seek to break the financial barrier in the way of music education and I hope this project continues to thrive,” stated Angela.
