Little Eden hounours caregivers

Last month, Little Eden Society celebrated Mother’s Day with talented artist Zamikhaya ‘Zamisto’ Tafane.

Zamisto graced both the Danny and Domitilla Home in Edenvale and the Elvira Rota Village in Bapsfontein with special performances.

According to Gaahele Mokgoro, public relations and communications co-ordinator of the society, the visit was a delightful surprise for the mothers and caregivers at Little Eden Society who devote themselves to the care and nurturing of the residents.

Known for his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics, Zamisto performed a variety of songs, creating a serene and joyous atmosphere.

Gaahele said the highlight of the day was Zamisto’s touching rendition of Happy Mother’s Day, a song that resonated deeply with the audience.

During his performance, Zamisto expressed his gratitude and admiration for the incredible work done by the mothers and caregivers at the society.

“I wanted to thank the wonderful mothers at Little Eden Society who take care of the disabled residents with the tenderness of a mother’s love and touch,” said Zamisto.

His words and music brought tears of joy and appreciation, highlighting the profound impact these caregivers have on the lives of the residents.

Gaahele said the event underscored the society’s ongoing commitment to celebrating and recognising the selfless dedication of its caregivers as they also celebrated the birthday of their founder and servant of God, Domitilla Hyams, during May.

She said Zamisto’s visit not only brought joy and entertainment but also served as a reminder of the important role these individuals play in the lives of the residents.
