Event organiser, Candy Battiss, said they want to create awareness about the work done by Edenvale Child Welfare.

“We want the community to see what hard work this wonderful team of staff do.

“Also, to help the community understand the purpose of this government organisation, and to realise that we as the community need to help where we can.

“The funding given by the government is not enough to sustain and feed, as well as educate these young innocent children,” she explained.

On the day community members are encouraged to donate a variety of essential items, including toys, educational materials, clothing, food, and more.

These contributions will be donated to the organisation and help alleviate some of the challenges they face in providing for the children under their care.

“There is a huge shortage when it comes to giving these innocent children nourishment. It is a daily worry for the wonderful staff who have dedicated their lives to helping these children.

“It is the community’s responsibility to reach out and help where we can,” added Battiss.

Tickets will be sold at the venue on the day, alternatively, contact Battiss on 064 297 8304.
