Edenvale pageant celebrates 21st anniversary

“I am looking forward to working with our amazing winners this year making a difference in our community”

Mr & Miss Edenvale Pageant celebrated its 21st anniversary when it hosted its most recent annual event in May.

Founded by the late Jackie Allen this year’s event was organised by her daughter Lynde Peacock.

The 59-year-old community stalwart Jackie died in April this year.

As a modelling coach and the organiser of the annual Miss Edenvale pageant, Jackie was committed to empowering others and growing their talents and abilities.

The various winners of this year’s categories of the Mr & Miss Edenvale Pageant.

She spent much of her time helping others and advocating for awareness through organisations such as the Catholic Women’s League and the Organ Donor Foundation.

The event saw 11 finalists crowned in their respective categories.

Lynde congratulated all of the finalists and everyone who took to the stage.

The event was hosted at Greenstone Shopping Centre.

The headline winners of the event were Jenique Botha – Miss Edenvale 2024 (in the 19 years and older category), Joshua Rushton – Mr Edenvale 2024 (in the 16 years and older category), Talitha Jenkins – Ms Edenvale 2024 and Lindie Mrs Edenvale 2024.

Other winners included:

• Zahokuhle Ntshangase – Miss Edenvale 2024 (3 -6 years old).

• Cherilee Mulder – Miss Edenvale 2024 (7 – years old).

• Hailey Wiid – Miss Edenvale 2024 (10-12 years old).

• Nthabeleng – Miss Edenvale 2024 (13 -15 years old).

• Xingwavilia Khosa – Miss Edenvale 2024 (16 -18 years old).

• Bokang Ralane – Mr Edenvale 2024 (3 -8 years old).

• Blake Wiid – Mr Edenvale 2024 (9 -16 years old).

Lynde thanked all of the sponsors who made the day possible specifically the shopping centre for being the main sponsor and for hosting the pageant again.

She also thanked Mamba Strike Force, Mochachos Greenstone and Krispy Crème Doughnut Greenstone.
