Staff at Tarentaal Retirement Village treated to lunch

Tarentaal Retirement Village resident Tina Tufegdzic spread kindness by treating employees to a hearty home-cooked lunch.

A former Rand Aid employee, Tina knows the hard work the staff put in.

She worked for many years at the SANCA Wedge Gardens Rehabilitation Centre and later at Thembalami Care Centre.

To thank Tarentaal’s domestic workers and handymen for their dedicated service, she made them a home-cooked lunch of roast chicken, pap and sauce or mashed potato, salads and cooldrinks.

“Tina saved a little each month to pay for the thank-you lunch,” said village manager Tammy Neilson.

“She has the biggest heart, and the staff were overwhelmed by her gesture.”
