Undisclosed amount of money taken in armed robbery in Edenvale CBD

The SAPS have launched a manhunt for at least three armed suspects after a robbery occurred in Edenvale CBD.
According to provincial SAPS, the robbery took place on March 4.
Gauteng SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo said the suspects targeted a security guard from a cash-in-transit company who was at the Pick n Pay in Edenvale.

“As the security guard was leaving the office in the shop, three armed men confronted him,” said Masondo.
“The suspects took the money from the security guard and his firearm.
“The suspects fled in a Ford SUV. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported,” said Masondo.
