Edenvale’s Stingrays take forth place at gala
"These swimmers can be very proud of themselves, their hard work has paid off."
Edenvale-based Stingray swimming team recently made waves at the Eastern Gauteng Aquatics Novice Gala.
The gala was held on February 24 in Benoni.
Coach Kate Jones said the swimmers were building their skills to eventually compete on a provincial level.
“They were such a happy and excited group.”

The Stingrays placed fourth overall with many top three places in all events.
Jones said the senior Stingrays did a sterling job leading the group and offering their assistance in marshalling the swimmers and making sure they didn’t miss a race.
“These swimmers can be very proud of themselves, their hard work has paid off.”
