Suspect found in possession of live ammunition in Eastleigh

"The suspect was searched and in his possession 11 live rounds of ammunition were found."

With more boots on the ground, criminals have less chance of carrying out plans as police track their movements in crime hotspot areas through Edenvale.

Edenvale Police Station’s communication officer said a suspect was arrested in Eastleigh for being in possession of live ammunition.

The arrest was made by Edenvale officers working in partnership with Mamba Security and Counterpoint Risk Security.

“The Edenvale task team together with SAPS followed information on one suspect who had just been released from prison.

“The suspect was searched and in his possession 11 live rounds of ammunition were found.”

Sector managers Sergeant Milton Mampholo and Sergeant Moses Nematenda together with stakeholders arrested the suspect.

“The suspect was arrested and will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court,” said Mahile.

Edenvale SAPS management and staff members thanked all stakeholders and the community at large for the information.
