Young golfer wins the tournament for Balderstone Sport Institute

"It’s always a joy to see you smiling in the winner's circle."

Vuyisani Makama won the recent Balderstone Sports Institute Junior Academy 18-hole medal.

He won the match with a six-under (66) on Huddle Park Golf Course in Bedfordview on January 26.

According to the head of marketing at BSI Roger King, Makama has been in good form playing in external tournaments since the start of the year.

Makama’s prowess on the green has seen him into the top 75 in the Golf RSA Open Amateur national rankings.

“He has now made a great start to the BSI tournament calendar as he attempts to win the Junior Order of Merit for the third time in a row,” said King, encouraging him to keep up the good work.

“It’s always a joy to see you smiling in the winner’s circle,¨ he said.

Other golfers from BSI who achieved personal bests were Ryan Croucamp, Thomo Mokgatle, Legofi Mokgatle, Antoni Theron, Nathan Whibley, Luke Whibley and Daniel Khoury.
