The stage is set for Calabash South Africa 2024

Following positive critical reception and multiple award nominations for Move It, Sunset Sweatshop released a full length album in 2018 through the Coleske Artists label.

The stage is set, the line-up is unparalleled, and the excitement is building for the much-anticipated Calabash South Africa, slated to take place at DHL Stadium, Cape Town and FNB Stadium, Johannesburg this weekend.

Big Concerts has confirmed the addition of Shekhinah and The Groove Yard, featuring a unique line-up of DJs to elevate the concert experience for revellers.

Calabash South Africa is not just the biggest concert of the summer; it’s a music lover’s dream. Headlined by the Grammy Award-winning pop-rock royalty, Maroon 5, the event feature performances by other international sensations such as Keane, Meduza, Ava Max, Will Linley, Shekinah and Lloyiso, plus Sunset Sweetshop in Cape Town and Timo ODV in Johannesburg.

Maroon 5 will treat the audience to a repertoire of chart-topping hits including Moves like Jagger, Sugar, Payphone, and Girls Like You. The band’s global fan base is in for a night to remember.

Hailing from Battle, East Sussex, British band Keane will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their acclaimed debut album Hopes and Fears (2004). Known for their piano-driven pop-rock sound, Keane will enchant the audience with hits like Somewhere Only We Know and Everybody’s Changing.

In just two years, Meduza has become the most significant global streaming Italian artist, setting the benchmark for dance music worldwide.

Their debut release, Piece of Your Heart featuring Goodboys, has garnered over 2 billion streams and secured a top 10 spot in the official charts in 20 countries.

South Africa-born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Will Linley will add a unique touch to the line-up, combining raw emotion with saccharine melodies and unfiltered candour.

Acclaimed South African musician and SAMA nominee, Lloyiso will also showcase his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics, establishing himself as a rising star within the country’s vibrant music scene.

Since the release of Sunset Sweatshop’s debut single Move It, the band has been an absolute hurricane in the South African music industry.
