Festive carols fill the night air at local centre

Voices united in song when residents from Rand Aid’s Tarentaal Retirement Village gathered in the hall for Christmas carols.
Themed ‘Under the Sea’ residents could be excused for thinking they would need snorkels and goggles to enter, as the room was overflowing with ocean-related décor.

After the sing-along, tea and eats were served.
“Resident Judy Pearse came up with the theme. Judy, along with 14 other residents, organised the event.
“The decorations took three months to make, but the result was worth it,” said village manager Tammy Neilson.
She said the event and the decorations were amazing to witness.
