Oktoberfest a hit at Edenvale’s German Club

The day was filled with lively music, delicious German food, and a wide array of traditional brews.

Community members came out in their numbers when Edenvale’s German Club hosted an Oktoberfest for the community.

Held on October 7 at the Eastleigh-based club, the event saw the best of Bavarian culture celebrated.

Food on offer included traditional dishes ranging from sausages to schnitzels, pretzels to sauerkraut as well as eisbein and frikkadels.

Kicking off the festivities was some live music performed by an oompah band who got the community into the spirit of the day with traditional German folk music.

Keeping the entertainment going The Houndogs took to the stage and kept the crowd buzzing.
