Sacred Heart College invites golf enthusiasts to play to make a change

Sacred Heart College golf day aims to raise funds for their learners.

Golf lovers across Johannesburg are invited to the Sacred Heart College annual Scholarship Fund Golf Day.

This year, the event will be held on October 20, at Glendower Golf Club.

The golf day serves as a vital fundraiser for the scholarship programme, allowing Sacred Heart to continue shaping the futures of deserving young individuals.

Previous golf days have seen highly positive results, with many scholarship recipients being able to pursue studies in formidable fields at higher education institutions across the country and significantly add value to various sectors of the economy.

Sacred Heart College is inviting locals to their annual Scholarship Fund Golf Day.

The school’s head of marketing, Sibusiso Ndlovu, said, “We recognise the importance of embracing individuals from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and religious backgrounds.

“In an increasingly unequal world, providing opportunities for students to access excellent education is essential, particularly in the face of limited access to quality schools.

“As an independent school, we have a long-standing tradition of offering such opportunities.”

He added that through the programme they have been able to provide scholarships to learners from disadvantaged and economically challenged backgrounds, enabling them to thrive in a safe and holistic educational environment.

“In the face of the current economic climate and the need to retain quality teachers and provide a cutting-edge curriculum, sustaining our scholarship programme has become increasingly challenging,” added Ndlovu.

At present, 15% of Sacred Heart learners are beneficiaries of the scholarship programme.

The school invites all golfers, or anyone passionate about making a difference, to support this year’s golf day.
