Better Bedfordview invites community to Golf Day fundraiser

Better Bedfordview is calling on golf enthusiasts and locals to support their second annual fundraising event.

Entries are now open for the second annual Better Bedfordview Golf Day fundraiser.

The event aims to raise funds to continue cleaning up, restoring and maintaining Bedfordview.

It will take place on October 27 at the Glendower Golf Club.

“There are fantastic prizes for the top 10 teams, including a Fancourt Bucket List Tour with a three-day stay at the Fancourt Hotel for the winning better ball team,” said Better Bedfordview chairperson Marina Constas.

She urged golfers, residents and businesses to support the golf day and thanked BMW Bedfordview for partnering with Better Bedfordview as a lead sponsor this year.

There are other sponsorship opportunities for businesses to consider.

“Companies can sponsor a hole, the putting green, terrace or patio.

“By getting involved, they will create visibility for their business and brand while demonstrating their commitment to our community,” Constas said.

She also invited all residents and businesses to enter a fourball.

“The cost per fourball is R6 000.

“This includes a ticket to the dinner dance in the evening, with live music by the band Walking Down Essex.

“Additional tickets for the dinner dance are R400 per person,” she said.
