School safety programme conducted at Edenvale High

“School-based crime prevention is intended to enrich the participation of police officers in promoting safe and orderly school environments."

The safer schools programme continued at Edenglen High School where it focused on promoting safer schools and preventing the youth’s involvement in crime.

On February 18, the school was visited by members from Edenvale SAPS, Ekurhuleni’s K9 Unit, EMPD’s Social Crime Prevention Unit, and Gauteng’s crime prevention wardens.

During their visit, authorities assisted with a random search as requested by the school.
