In just three months, her determination propelled her to the competitive class, marking her transformation.

Modderfontein resident Bailey Maré has excelled in gymnastics in a short period.

Despite her initial lack of experience in both gymnastics and dance, her journey from a novice to a competitive athlete was nothing short of magical.

Aged seven, Maré began her gymnastics journey under the guidance of the Masters Gymnasts Club in Highway Gardens.

In just three months, her determination propelled her to the competitive class, marking her transformation.

Maré’s success is attributable to the expertise of her trainers, the trio of Demianenkos – Dr Yuri, Dmitry, Mila and Alex, who is now based in the UK but still very much involved.

Under their tutelage, Maré excelled.

Seven-year-old Bailey Maré, a Modderfontein resident, in the air and ready to be caught by her teammates, 10-year-old Dené Greyvenstein and 11-year-old Mackenzie Mackay.

A significant turning point was when she teamed up with her fellow gymnasts, 10-year-old Dené Greyvenstein and 11-year-old Mackenzie Mackay.

This dynamic trio’s partnership saw them enter the competitive arena, representing the Masters Gymnasts Club with pride.

Their hard work and dedication bore fruit when, by last August, they received their Ekhuruleni colours and took first place in the women’s trio, level seven.

The pinnacle of their journey was last October when Maré, Greyvenstein and Mackay claimed second at the SA Gym Games, showcasing their abilities at a national level.
