The residents at Little Eden Society had a day filled with stimulating activities and help from the community and businesses.
On Mandela Day, the donors engaged in stimulating painting activities, including patiently painting the residents’ nails and creating moments to relax for pampering.
The public relations and communications coordinator of the society, Gaahele Mokgoro, said these small acts of caring and attention gave joy to the residents and brightened the day for everyone.

While some spent their time with residents, other guests rolled up their sleeves and tackled various tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for the residents.
Others helped sort through the donations at the Edenvale depot.
Mokgoro said they appreciated their efforts.
Besides the community doing its part for society, Little Eden received many food donations it had requested.
“The celebration of Mandela Day at the Edenvale Home not only ignited smiles across the faces of the residents but also served as a reminder of the profound impact that selfless acts of kindness can have on individuals and communities,” said Mokgoro.
