Locals taught about the importance of bees

Set to be presented by bee expert and environmentalist Andrea Maraschin, the talk will be held on July 29.

The Modderfontein Conservation Society (MCS) will host a discussion on the importance of bees.
Set to be presented by bee expert and environmentalist Andrea Maraschin, the talk titled ‘To bee or not to bee – an introduction to bee-keeping for non-bee-keepers’ will be held on July 29.

Maraschin will talk about the fascinating world of bees and highlight their astonishing social aspects.

As there is a worldwide crisis because of declining bee populations, a broader knowledge of these creatures and their habits could lead to people thinking about creating food sources and havens for them.
