Then Keeran Moodley bagged nine, with Gianluca Caldeira and Katerina Chronias securing eight distinctions each.
Shannon Starroula Tassopoulos and Jiatong Li celebrated seven distinctions.
Hill said having a balance between school and personal life played a huge role in her success.
“You won’t have the focus or motivation if you are not doing things that you enjoy like socialising, family, sleeping, eating and exercising.
“We underestimate how much it all contributes. I was always aiming for 11 distinctions because I knew I could do it,” she said.
She plans to study medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand.
The class of 2022 achieved 276 distinctions with 3.5 distinctions per candidate.
Eighty-seven per cent of the 78 matriculants earned distinctions, while 99% achieved a bachelor’s degree pass.
Three Saheti students have been included on the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) outstanding achievements list, with 21 placements in the IEB top 1% of candidates per subject.

School principal Morag Rees said, “I have always been aware of the school’s reputation for outstanding academics and having recently joined Saheti, I am exceptionally proud to be associated with this dynamic community.
The determination and consistent effort of our matriculants is demonstrated in these outstanding results.
“Thank you to our expert teachers and invested parents for their invaluable partnership. I know that our matric class of 2022 will continue to make us proud in the future.”
Moodley has an interest in studying actuarial science. He expressed his blissfulness by explaining that he took an unstructured approach to study.
“I worked on intuition. I didn’t measure how hard I was working. It was more about what I felt I needed to study and studied that more.”

Tassopoulos said she was going to study actuarial science as well but will be moving abroad before the end of the year.
