Edenvale voters take to the polls

On November 1, voters visited their respective voting stations as they participated in the democratic and electoral process.

Edenvale was abuzz with activity as voters cast their votes for the 2021 Municipal Elections.
On November 1, voters visited their respective voting stations as they participated in the democratic and electoral process.
Although the three voting stations visited by the NEWS in Edenvale, namely Edenvale Community Centre, Edenglen Primary School and Trinity Presbyterian Church, were a hive of voter activity, everything appeared to be going smoothly.
At Edenvale Community Centre, Maryna and Tom Latsky said their voting experience had gone well and smoothly.
Similarly at Edenglen Primary, Jessie and Mandy Andriessen said they had a good experience too.
Following the elections, alderman Heather Hart was re-elected as councillor for Ward 18.
She received 79.23% of the support from voters in the ward.
At Edenvale Community Centre, 70.13% of the votes were cast in her favour, 75.37% at AGS Church in Edenvale, 83.24% at Edenglen Primary and 84% at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Similarly, alderman Bill Rundle was reelected as the councillor for Ward 19.
He received 80.45% of support from voters in the ward.
At Eastside Community Church, 73.25 % of the votes were cast in Rundle’s favour, 86.19 % at Dunvegan Primary School, 79.24% at Edenvale High School, 83.93% at Edenvale Bowling Club and 75.45 % at Eastleigh Primary School.
