Suspects busted for drugs in Bedfordview and other offenses

Further investigation, assisted by the Bedfordview Fire Station, yielded another 487 tablets and 308 containers filled with white powder.

Four individuals were taken into custody on suspicion of various charges, including possession, manufacturing, and distribution of drugs and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

On October 24, officers executed a search warrant as part of a special operation on Concorde Road East in the Bedfordview area.

Upon arrival, they encountered an Asian man and recovered several items, including an iPhone 13, a small Ziplock bag containing powder residue, another ziplock bag with white crystal substances, a glass lolly pipe, a bronze dagga pipe and a machine pill press.

“Two individuals, identified as suspects, were detained.

“The role players visited the scene, and one suspect provided information freely,” said Sergeant Lillian Modiga, the Bedfordview SAPS’s media liaison officer.

Following this lead, officers searched a townhouse complex on Smith Road but found nothing.

The officers then executed a search and seizure warrant and an arrest warrant at the Nicol Apartments in Bedfordview.

Upon arrival, they identified themselves and asked that the suspect reveal any illicit substances and safes.

Inside one safe, the police found a transparent ziplock bag and an unlicensed firearm with seven live rounds.
