Edenvale police bust man with dagga worth R 25 000

To combat drug trafficking in Edenvale, SAPS executed a successful operation which resulted in one arrest and R25 000 worth of marijuana seized.
Edenvale CPF public relations officer Fiona Pickett said the man was arrested on September 13.
Acting on received intelligence, the Edenvale SAPS and various security partners closely monitored the location before making the arrest.

Pickett said following legal consultation with the SAPS provincial legal department, the operation proceeded.
The street value of marijuana was estimated to be R25 000.

Acting station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Lionel Chetty, praised the team for their diligent efforts in removing drugs from the community.
He commended the operational team for their dedication and swift action, emphasising the critical role such operations play in maintaining law and order in Edenvale.

The operation was a collaborative effort involving the Edenvale Crime Prevention Unit, Edenvale CPF, CPG Security, Ironhide Security, and ARN Security.
