The arrests were made on March 30 after the truck was hijacked in Katlehong while travelling to Germiston.

After police investigations, three suspects were arrested.

“They were found inside the truck, which had a load of 69 beds.

“Interrogations revealed that two suspects work for the business, and the third used to work for the company but was fired,” said the Bedfordview SAPS corporate communication officer, Sergeant Lillian Modiga.

“The arrests were made after crime intelligence officers received information about suspects who intended to hijack a truck loaded with beds.

“Because the truck’s route was unknown, officers remained on high alert,” said Modiga.
