Local old-age centre seeks donation from public

We supply home cooked meals to 140 pensioners in the Greater Primrose area and surroundings.

Rest-a-While Service Centre for the Aged in Primrose urges the community to help them.

For 57 years Rest-A-While has been serving the elderly within the community of Primrose and surrounding areas.

According to the centre manager, Trudy de Jesus Carreira, they are struggling to receive their social development subsidy, which needs to be renewed each year.

“In the meantime, we need to keep the centre operating as we supply home-cooked meals to 140 pensioners,” said Carreira.

“We call upon our community, suppliers, local business and friends to step in and help us. Any donations of food and financial donations we would appreciate,” said Carreira.
