Animal lovers, food lovers and those with a knack for cooking are invited to Edenvale SPCA’s annual potjie competition.

This will be the first year that the competition will be held at the Edenvale German Club.
Over the past several years it was held at Our Place Pub where thousands of rands were raised for the society.
The competition will take place on July 8 and will start at 10:00.
Besides bringing the community together, it will once again raise funds for Edenvale SPCA so that it can continue helping animals in need.
During the potjie competition, aspiring chefs will compete for the coveted title of “Potjie Master”.
Those competing will put their best pot forward in the hopes of impressing the panel of judges for a chance to win some amazing prizes.

Those not showing off their cooking prowess also stand a chance of winning prizes as several raffles and prizes will be up for grabs throughout the day
Besides the cook-off, community members are invited to browse through the stalls of a Christmas in July market.
Hosted alongside the cooking competition by HeartSpace Events, the festive-themed market will allow shoppers to kickstart their Christmas shopping.
Live entertainment for the day will be provided by Lukas as well as Mirandi.
All funds raised by the event will go directly towards Edenvale SPCA to support its efforts in protecting and caring for animals in need.
