Local learners invited to apply for bursaries

Upon completion of your studies, you may be offered an opportunity to join the Sasol Graduate Development Programme.

Sasol is calling on high-achieving Grade 12 learners with a passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to apply for an all-inclusive undergraduate bursary in the chemical and energy sector.

The bursary is for the 2024 academic year and applications are open until May 23 this year.

The bursary covers tuition fees, accommodation, meals, pocket money and an allowance for a laptop and a calculator.

It also provides comprehensive bursary support to help students to reach their academic potential and to maintain their well-being.

The bursaries are open to learners who are planning to study towards a B.Eng or B.Sc.Eng in various engineering disciplines or for a BSc Chemistry and Metallurgy as well as BEng Tech in various disciplines.

To be considered for the bursary, you need to get 60% for mathematics, physical science and English.

Upon completion of your studies, you may be offered an opportunity to join the Sasol Graduate Development Programme.

Monica Luwes, manager of the Graduate Centre at Sasol, encourages students who are interested in the STEM career to apply.

“If you’re a highly motivated learner interested in a STEM career, this is your opportunity to apply for a bursary that will help secure you a better future.
