Germiston commemorates Library Week

The City of Ekurhuleni will host Library Week at the Germiston Library on March 24 from 10:00 to 16:00.

The theme for this event is ‘Libraries: telling powerful stories’.

This year’s South African Library Week gives patrons the opportunity to tell their stories through poetry and storytelling.

In this collaboration, the City of Ekurhuleni and the University of South Africa provide a platform for artists to showcase and record their craft.

The MMC for Health and Social Development Jennifer Glover, who is expected to preside over the event, has issued an invitation to members of the public to witness Ekurhuleni’s talent and also actively participate in this programme, aimed among others to inculcate the culture of reading in the region.
