SAPS confirmed that two people were injured following a shooting on Bradford Road this morning.

Gauteng SAPS Spokesperson Capt Mavela Masondo said one person was severely injured.
The incident occurred near a nursery school at 07:45 this morning.
Masondo said the victim, a woman, was taken to hospital for treatment.
The woman who was driving a BMW was shot eight times.

According to Masondo, the woman was shot after she dropped off her child at the nursery school near the scene.
He said she was shot in the upper body.
Masondo said the second victim was the woman’s security escort who was shot four times.
