Edenvale’s Senior Citizens Society welcomes members with a lunch

40 Elders from the community attended the lunch which was hosted on January 12.

Edenvale’s Senior Citizens Society held a welcome-back lunch for its members and the community to mark the start of the new year.

Forty elders from the community attended the lunch, which was hosted on January 12.

Committee member Linda Ranwell said everyone had a super time catching up on all the news from their friends.
She said the society also welcomed a few new members.

To ensure it has enough funding, ESCS society relies on donations of second-hand items from the community which it then sells in its second-hand shop.

Items can be delivered to the Edenvale Community Centre any weekday morning or arrangements can be made to collect donations from anywhere in the Edenvale area.

The next special lunch will be for St Valentine’s Day in February.
