Edenvale Senior Citizens Society raises funds

The Edenvale Senior Citizens Society held its fundraising market.

The Edenvale Senior Citizens Society’s fundraising campaign had a great turnout on November 19.

The organisation hosted its biannual market at Edenvale Community Centre and was able to attract community members to support the initiative.

Supporters had a wide range of items to choose from as the market had a book stall, clothing items, ornaments, jewellery, art and food.

Linda Ranwell, a member of the society, expressed her gratitude to the public for their support.

Selling toys for a good cause is Andrea Sandersen.

“We host the market twice a year to raise funds to support the organisation.

“Therefore, we rely on donations made by the people to be able to host the markets.

“If people don’t donate anything then we have nothing to sell,” stated Linda.

Author Osvalda Fernandes contributed towards the initiative by giving away copies of her latest book for a raffle.
The funds from the market contribute towards keeping the organisation afloat.
