Promoted Bedfordview officers ready to take on crime

Four sergeants and three constables were advanced to their new rankings during a ceremony held at the Bedfordview Police Station.

Seven newly promoted Bedfordview SAPS members are ready to wage a war against crime.

On Tuesday, four sergeants and three constables were advanced to their new rankings during a ceremony held at the Bedfordview Police Station.

This comes after 11 years of service at the station.

The members who received their new epaulettes from sergeants to warrant officers are Marais Maryke, Mogata Malose Samuel, Nkoane Lettah Mapule and Mashamba Masindi Magdaline.

From the rank of constables to sergeants are Xoki Nomthadaso, Motselane Nthabiseng Machelere Happy and Mabunda Mitirhoyanwe Lucky.

Station commander Colonel Justus Geustyn congratulated all the members who were promoted and encouraged them to continue to serve and protect the community with dignity and pride.
