The team is no strangers to the community as they have previously visited Ithembelihle LSEN School to show the learners some love.

The children were treated to a day of fun and laughter with the drama group Makoporosh entertaining the children with two drama skits and some energetic dancing.

Primrose Masters FC recently donated a gas stove to Goodhealth Foundation in Makause informal settlement.

They were later served snacks and drinks.

According to the team captain, Thabang Nawa, the club consists of a group of friends who lives and work around Primrose.

“We travel to play all over the country and recently we played in Durban. We do not gamble and we compete in no league,” said Nawa.

“Our goal is to have fun, keep healthy and help in the community where we could,” he said.

He said they heard about a lady in Makause who is running an organisation and a soup kitchen.

“We visited her and had a chat with her. The children from Makause get to go into bed with full stomachs because of her,” said Nawa, adding that she is their local hero.

“The stove will help her cook more food, and it will be used for day-to-day basics,” he said.

“The donation was made possible by Shosholoza Finance. We are open to more partnerships and contributing to our community in need.

To raise funds we would have a tournament and all the affiliation fees would be donated towards a dedicated charity organisation,” said Nawa.
