Fête fun day expected at retirement centre of Modderfontein

Although Covid-19 brought the event to a halt for two years, the village is holding thumbs that the 2022 fete will be a bumper affair.

Fun for all is expected to be had when Thornhill Manor Retirement Village hosts its family day and fete.

Set to be held at the village the fete will take place from 09:00 to 13:00.

Although Covid-19 brought the event to a halt for two years, the village is holding thumbs that the 2022 fete will be a bumper affair.

Visitors can look forward to a variety of stalls, including sewing and knitting, a white elephant, Christmas goodies and crafts, arts and crafts, puzzles, embroidery and fabric painted items, fairies and goodies for children, clothing, mosaics, stained glass, painted plates and kits, jewellery, bags, leather goods, beads, shoes, wooden bowls, books and cards, the Garden Club and more.

Enjoy some outdoor shopping while listening to music performed by local DJ Rudi Van Niekerk, and snack on a variety of tasty treats, including boerewors rolls, curry and rice, pancakes, German dishes, bacon and egg rolls and a variety of cakes, tarts and biscuits.

Guests will also be able to enjoy a cuppa at the tea garden.

The retirement village is located at 158 Westlake Drive, Lakeside Village, Modderfontein.
