JUST IN: Riley Road business goes up in flames

The City`s Disaster and Emergency Management said when fire fighters arrived on scene the building was well-alight.

Fire fighters from Bedfordview and Primrose responded to a business fire on Riley Road, Bedfordview shortly before 14:00 this afternoon, September 12.

Spokesperson for the City`s Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) said fire fighters were able to get the blaze under control within an hour.

“When fire fighters arrived on scene the building was well-alight. The business was non-operational on the day and no injuries were reported,” he said.

Ntladi added that the fire was stopped before it reached a section of the kitchen.
