Ekurhuleni Mayor joins campaign against Gender Based Violence

“Let us unite today to put an end to this cycle of gender based violence and drug abuse and build equal, supportive communities."

City of Ekurhuleni hosted a 5km walk against GBV and drug abuse on August 31.

Mayor Tania Campbell joined the fun and celebrations and she was accompanied by members of the mayoral committee, city officials and the community.

Campbell urged SAPS members to prioritise reported crimes.

“Let us unite today to put an end to this cycle of gender based violence and drug abuse and build equal, supportive communities,” said Campbell.

To conclude the day’s activities, there was entertainment in the form of aerobics which was presented by the local aerobics club.
