Pipeline maintenance to affect many Ekurhuleni areas

The execution of the project is scheduled from 09:30 on Friday to Tuesday, August 23 at 13:00.

Rand Water scheduled a planned maintenance of its B6 pipeline from August 19 to 23.

The scheduled tie-in is for the newly constructed B6 pipeline, which has been constructed to augment a portion of the existing B6 pipeline.

The tie-in is at the corner of Oak and Boundary streets in Garthdale.

The execution of the project is scheduled from 09:30 on Friday to Tuesday, August 23 at 13:00.

The project will be undertaken over an 87.5-hour duration and Rand Water advised municipalities and direct customers to fill their reservoirs before the maintenance work commences.

The following areas in the City of Ekurhuleni will be affected:

Windsor, Sunnyridge, Fishers Hill, Primrose Extension, Glen Marais. Klopper Park, Marlands, Solheim., Elandsfontein, Isando, Industries, Wadeville, Elsburg, Driefontein, Delville and Germiston South.

Palmiet Pumping Station will still operational and pumping at 90% of its capacity.
