Ekurhuleni police visit local school for career day

They encouraged young learners to stay away from crime and join the police force at Blessed Hope Academy’s career day.

Blessed Hope Academy hosted a career day for its learners on August 5.

The learners dressed up in their career of choice as they were educated about various professions.
In attendance were police officers, doctors, lawyers, nurses and firefighters.

Kempton Park SAPS were in their uniform as they gave presentations to Grade One to Seven learners at Blessed Hope Academy on their career day in Kempton Park.

 

Kempton Park SAPS were invited to educate the learners about the various departments in the police force.

“We welcome the career day initiative because it also forms part of our recruitment process,” said the spokesperson of the police station, Captain Jethro Mtshali.

“It also allows us to create awareness of what role the police are playing in society. We also encourage the children to stay away from crime.”

The Grade One to Seven learners gave different performances including drama plays on various social issues as well as musical performances to entertain guests.
