Law enforcement in Ekurhuleni fights crime together

Stakeholders such as EMPD, Home Affairs immigration officials, CPF and security companies are all working together.

Various police stations in Ekurhuleni Sub-East District managed to arrest 113 suspects during different operations held between July 29 and 31.

Police in Zone 4 joined forces with other stakeholders such as EMPD, Home Affairs immigration officials, CPF and security companies for crime prevention operations in policing precincts.

The operations were executed during road blocks, VCPs, tracing of wanted suspects and random stop and searches.

Sergeant Daphney Phooko, Elsburg SAPS communication official, said the suspects were apprehended for various crimes, including attempted murder, sexual assault, domestic violence, robbery, possession of hijacked motor vehicle and tampering with infrastructure.

“During the station commander’s operation, three men were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property in Buhlepark,” said Phooko.
