Dunvegan learner set to represent Gauteng at nationals

While representing Ekurhuleni Eva laced first out of 26 riders in the normal competition with a winning time of 34 seconds.

Twelve-year-old Eva Henderson and her horse Goose were selected for the Gauteng team.

Following her selection for the team the Dunvegan Primary School learner will represent Gauteng in the nationals later this year.

Earlier this year Eva and her horse earned top places after they competed at South African National Equestrian Schools Association qualifiers whilst representing her school.

Twelve-year-old Eva Henderson and her horse Goose were selected for the Gauteng team.

She was subsequently chosen for the regional Ekurhuleni team and competed on July 31 at Kyalami Equestrian Park.

This included two rounds, the first having to be a clear round and the second being clear and on time meaning no penalties.

She also competed in the A2.

While representing Ekurhuleni Eva laced first out of 26 riders in the normal competition with a winning time of 34 seconds.

She placed eighth out of 26 riders overall in the A2 competition.
