CoE undertakes road markings in some parts of the City

This is a very dangerous situation which could lead to some very bad accidents.

EDITOR – I have been very concerned for some time about the lack of road markings, or very faint markings, on many of our local roads.

ALSO READ: Ekurhuleni ratepayers to fork out more for some services from 1 July

Some of these include North Reef Road and then into Edenvale Road especially the bridge across the R24, and parts of Van Riebeeck Avenue.

This is a very dangerous situation which could lead to some very bad accidents.

EDITORS COMMENT a request for comment was sent to the City of Ekurhuleni.
CoE replied:

“Van Riebeck Road from R24 throughout the Edenvale CBD to Terrace Road has been painted and completed on July 30.

Some of the new road markings painted by the City of Ekurhuleni.

ALSO READ: Ekurhuleni road finally repaired

“Edenvale and AG de Wit Road from Kloof Road through North Reef Road towards the R24 was completed with road markings on both lanes a week ago.

“North Reef Road from Sam Green Road to Edenvale Road was painted three months ago.

“North Reef Road from Edenvale Road near Supa Quick to Riley Road is on our programme and will be painted by end of September.”
