Four constables were promoted to the rank of inspector by the EMPD Chief of Police Isaac Mapiyeye during a small ceremony held on August 1.

They were expected to assume their new positions at the VIP unit immediately after the ceremony.
The promoted officers are Malebo Pule (worked at Geluksdal precinct), Maryna Venter (worked at the OR Tambo precinct), Royston Ceril Mohammed ( worked at the SWAT unit and VIP unit), Quinton Pretorious (worked at the OR Tambo precinct).
Mapiyeye encouraged the newly appointed inspectors to further their studies and to lead their team with pride.
